Mayor’s Outer London Fund boost for Bromley businesses
Funded by the London Mayor’s Outer London Fund, businesses in Bromley, Penge and Orpington can benefit from a variety of free or heavily subsidised business support services from January – March 2012. Bromley Council was successful in bidding for the available funding, and the services will be provided by South London Business.
Councillor Peter Morgan, Executive Councillor for Renewal and Recreation said: "Our borough is a fantastic place to do business, with great transport links, infrastructure and an educated workforce. We are committed to assisting our businesses to do well during challenging financial times and encouraging residents to support their local businesses. We are keen to support any improvement opportunities so why not take part in a workshop or utilise the advice services"
The programme aims to help businesses reduce overheads and increase turnover during 2012.
Businesses can benefit from:
• A series of workshops on topics including: helping businesses reduce their business rates liability through small business rates relief; reduce costs and keep overheads low; marketing on a skinny budget.
• Up to six hours of one-to-one mentoring with a trained business advisor that can help resolve challenges or issues in any part of your business
• A mystery shopper service for retail businesses - companies will be visited by a mystery shopper who will provide a report on their customer experience.
