South London Businesses are invited to attend a series of business events which the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), is hosting in London this winter.
The IPO is the Government agency responsible for granting intellectual property right, for example patents, trade marks and registered designs, in the United Kingdom.
The first event the IPO is hosting is the Protecting Your Ideas and Inventions event on Wednesday 24 November, from 5.00pm to 9.00pm at the British Library in central London http://www.ipo.gov.uk/whyuse/events/events-calendar/events-pyi-london.htm This event looks at patents and other forms of IP protection, and will be a good opportunity to meet business leaders, intellectual property practitioners and inventors.
The next event is the Creating Brand Value for Your Business event on Wednesday 8 December from 5.00pm to 9.00pm at the Museum of Brands in Notting Hill, W11. http://www.ipo.gov.uk/whyuse/events/events-calendar/events-cbv-london.htm At this event, there will be talks and practical advice on trade marks and Registered Designs, as well as networking time.
The third event is the Creative Collaborations: The Legal Perspective evening at the London College of Communication in Elephant & Castle on Thursday 8 December. The theme of the event looks at intellectual property rights with regards to creative works. http://www.ipo.gov.uk/whyuse/events/events-calendar/events-cc-london.htm
I have also enclosed the flyer for our events; please feel free to pass it on to anyone you think may be interested.
