Success Story: Omar Jallo Jamboria
Omar Jallo Jamboria is in his early thirties and originally from Sierra Leone. He is described by Annette Nicholson, the Chief Executive of Soloman as “a polite and charming young man”. Omar’s partner is due to give birth to twins in September and given this Omar was understandably anxious to
secure employment as quickly as possible.
Omar was made redundant from Zotefoams plc. where had been working as a warehouse operative and drove a fork lift truck. He attended a workshop organised by SOLOMAN, and funded through our Response to Redundancy programme, where he was supported to produce a CV and consider his options. Using its connections in the manufacturing sector Soloman circulated Omar`s CV to local companies, one of which, Price Kitchens expressed an interest. SOLOMAN arranged for Omar to have an interview at Price Kitchens and coached him through the interview process.
Omar was successful in securing employment at Price Kitchens as a warehouse / delivery man and he has expressed his gratitude to Soloman’s for helping to get back into the labour market so swiftly and at such an important time for his family.
