CLARKSON WRIGHT & JAKES LLP WINS PRESTIGIOUS LAWNET AWARD

At an award ceremony held on 3 October 2008 at Whittlebury Hall in Northampton, Clarkson Wright & Jakes LLP was presented with the Lawnet award for the Best Corporate Social Responsibility policy. Lawnet is the UK and and Ireland’s leading group of independent law firms and the awards ceremony was an opportunity to celebrate the success, hard work and initiatives of Lawnet firms throughout the UK.

CWJ was able to convince the judges that it had distinguished itself in the balance of pursuit of profits with principles. CWJ’s winning entry highlighted its approach to CSR in the key areas of the environment, the community and the people who work at CWJ. Initiatives include providing fresh fruit daily for all staff, arranging visits from nutritionists and yoga and circuits classes on site for staff, giving staff extra time off to enable them to do voluntary or charity work, recycling and energy saving and anti pollution projects. In addition, CWJ had been accredited by Best Companies as “one to watch” meaning that the firm is in the top 500 best companies to work for.
