Crime and the Impact of Crime on your Business - 4th February 2008
Monday 28th January 2008
South London Business is delighted to invite you to meet Len Duval,
Chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority, the organisation that
governs the Metropolitan Police, and GLA member for Lewisham and
Greenwich on 4th February 2008 at Jury’s Inn, Croydon. If crime is
having an impact on your business or employees, this is your
opportunity to voice those concerns in a public forum.
South London Business’ bi-annual survey of 15,000 businesses across
the twelve boroughs south of the river showed 34% of respondents saw
crime and the fear of crime as a key concern for the business
community. It is essential for a growing and diverse economy to not
only retain existing businesses but also to attract both local and
foreign investment. With incidences of violent crime in the media and
yobbish behaviour having an impact on companies ability to trade, the
impact of crime on the local and regional economy cannot be
underestimated.
South London Business is an organisation that exists to represent
and promote the interests of the business community in south London.
Whether your concern is violent crime, white collar crime or internet
fraud this event will give you the opportunity to meet with other
organisations who share your concerns. The London Fraud Forum and
Government Office for London Business Crime Reduction unit will also be
in attendance.
The event will start at approximately 7.00pm and will be finished by 9.00pm, refreshments will be provided.
