Franchise Advisor Training Day
Wednesday 24th September 2008 - 9.30am to 4.30pm - Jury's Inn, Croydon
In conjunction with Croydon Enterprise, South London Business has been running a series of FREE Work-Shops and 'One 2 One' sessions on Franchising in the Croydon area to aspiring entrepreneurs and existing businesses. When the programme comes to a close we would like to leave a legacy of established Franchise support in the borough of Croydon and are therefore inviting a number of business advisors onto a full day Advisor Workshop on Franchising and other structured business formats The training programme is SFEDI endorsed and all Advisors will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
Objectives and key learning outcomes:
Objectives of the Course:
- Teach advisors how different structured business formats work in practice · Learn how to work effectively with clients who are considering replicating their business
- Be able to work with clients who are considering buying into a structured business format opportunity.
- Know when to call on specialists.
Key learning outcomes
At the end of the training, business advisors will understand:
- Components, features, benefits and disadvantages of different structured business formats
- Costs, legal requirements and contracts associated with different structured business formats
- Accreditation options for different structured business formats
- Key information which needs to be researched by clients considering structured business formats and where they might obtain it.
- How different structured business format options may impact on individual client's aims;
- Implications on an organisation's structure and operations of different structured business format options;
- Financial models and implications of taking on or growing a business using a structured business format;
- Key marketing criteria for structured business format opportunities;
- Clients considerations when recruiting other individuals and businesses to join a structured business format; and
- Specialist support available, when their role ends and how to broker relationships with specialists.
At the end of the training, business advisors will be able to:
- Identify different structured business formats from their main components and features
- Assess the best type of structured business format for a particular business
- Identify the appropriate infrastructure needed to support chosen structured business formats
- Identify what structured business format entry criteria mean in practice and how they could be met.
