Want to make your business more resource efficient but not sure how to motivate your staff? This seminar is for Managers and potential Green Champions to give you ideas on how to implement behavioural change within the workplace, raise awareness of environmental sustainability and reduce waste and make energy savings. Activities include establishing a team of green champions, running green competitions, and a ‘Switch Off’ campaign.

Introduction to Environmental Management Systems

Not sure if you want to develop an EMS? This introduction to environmental management systems will provide an overview of the benefits of implementing management programmes, the pros and cons of a range of accreditation schemes, and tips on how to get started.

Environmental Management Systems – BS8555
Step-by-step three day implementation course

22nd April, 20th May and 24th June 
This training course will provide a step-by-step guide in implementing the BS8555 accredited EMS. Ideal for businesses wanted to take a staged approach, BS8555 consists of six separate phases, each of which can be individually certified. Businesses can complete stage 1-3 to implement the foundations of an EMS, move onto the next stage to become certified to ISO14001, or complete all stages to become accredited under EMAS. This three day course will guide you through the first three stages covering:

  • Commitment & Establishing the Baseline
  • Identifying & Ensuring Compliance with Legal, Other and Market Requirements
  • Developing Objectives, Targets and Programmes & Indicators
