INVITATION TO TENDER

CONSULTANT EDITOR FOR THE SOUTH LONDON BUSINESS MAGAZINE
BACKGROUND:

The SLB magazine has been running in its current format since January 2007 with an external publisher producing the magazine with input from SLB (SLB maintained overall editorial rights). SLB have now decided to bring the production of the magazine in-house in order to gain greater cohesiveness between it and other SLB brands, and have greater ownership over the style and content.

A new team is being recruited to develop the magazine and, together with a Consultant Editor, will comprise of a Communications Officer/Reporter, Graphic Designer and Advertising Executive.

MAGAZINE AIMS:
To establish SLB’s credibility as an organisation representing and in touch with business in London.

To support business to grow and trade by: keeping them informed on topics relevant to them on a national and local scale on what is happening in the business arena in South London and its’ implications for them.

To act as SLB’s showcase to the business world – promoting SLB products and services relevant to the topics being raised in each issue.

To enhance the cohesiveness of SLB’s communications in both hard copy and online media and thus driving traffic to the SLB website and other SLB products.

To provide a link between business and SLB.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Prime target audience for the magazine is senior management / business owners of businesses in the twelve South London boroughs, reflecting the balance of SME’s and corporate business and sectors in South London.
