Mayor Boris Johnson has released a report detailing his aims for the future of planning in London. The London Plan seeks to improve living and working environments across London over the next 20 years. The report faced public examination at City Hall between 28th June - 8th December 2010 and has now been published with recommendations and conclusions.
For businesses the Mayor intends to provide greater accommodation support. He stipulates that small, affordable shop units should be protected amidst large scale retail developments. Also by aesthetically improving town centres, the Mayor hopes to increase their commerciality.
