NatWest are on the Pulse with Latest Funding Package

Croydon, May 2010 – Local supplier of fixings and consumables to the UK construction industry, Pulse Fixings, has secured a new contract for the 2012 Olympics thanks to the support of local bankers, NatWest.

Established in 2000 by Joint Directors, Tony Males and Rob Kay, the duo are now the preferred supplier to the majority of the largest dryling companies in the UK with relationships spanning over 10 years and beyond.  Starting out in a small warehouse in South East London and boasting a combined 45 year background in construction in the fixings market, Pulse Fixings are now based on the Gloucester Road in East Croydon operating from two warehouses.  With a small team on hand, they manage to turnaround delivery times within a 24-hour period to reduce stock levels and storage required as well as consistently meeting customer demands. When the opportunity arose to supply fixings to the contractors working on the Olympic Stadium, Tony and Rob needed to improve the efficiency of their payment to suppliers so brought NatWest on board to provide an invoice finance package.

Gary Belton from the banks Citylink House offices has worked with Pulse Fixings closely since inception and wanted to find the best finance solution to help them secure the contract to expand the projected £2.4m annual turnover business.  Gary brought on board the bank’s invoice finance expert, Alex Jennings to discuss the options and work out the best solution.  Alex provided an invoice discounting line that will assist the company to purchase the additional materials required to supply to the contractors at the stadium and allow for working capital to pay their suppliers.  This option has helped them secure the contract with the confidence.

Tony Males, Joint Director of Pulse Fixings, commented on the new invoice finance package and the prospects for the company:
“The business has expanded at a rapid rate over the last ten years and we are firmly established as a preferred supplier in our field - distributing stock on a national scale. When the opportunity came our way to supply fixings for the Olympic Stadium I wanted to meet this demand and have the confidence to deliver once committed.  Gary and Alex at NatWest have in my mind provided the best finance solution which we are confident is the right decision.”

Gary Belton, Relationship Manager at NatWest in Croydon added:
“Working with Tony and Rob over the years has instilled me with confidence that they are well equipped to meet the demands of their latest contract win.  Pulse Fixings operate in a specialised field and continue to show promise year on year.  Our latest invoice finance package fitted their needs at this time and has enabled the company to secure a major contract and be part of a wider global association, such as the Olympics. I wish Tony and Rob all the best as they embark on their latest venture.”
