Queen's Award for International Trade 2009

21st April 2009

Minesoft wins the prestigious “Queen’s Award for Enterprise” for rapidly growing export markets in the field of intellectual Property (patent) information.

Minesoft is thrilled to announce it has been named today as a winner of the “Queen’s Award for Enterprise” in International Trade.  Minesoft Ltd commenced business in 1996, set up by founders and working directors Ann Chapman and Ophir Daniel. Providing patent information software solutions available on the Internet, applications include international searchable databases, patent archives and the development of competitive intelligence alerting systems. Users include manufacturing and patenting companies in all kinds of industry branches, patent attorneys, paralegals and law firms.

The Queen’s Award Office announces that Minesoft: “wins the Award for the first time for more than doubling export earnings over three years, reaching a multi-million pound turnover and achieving growth in the sale of products designed and developed in-house. A well-focused marketing strategy places strong emphasis on a subscription-based model marketed primarily by its own sales force assisted by a number of distributors.  There is an impressive spread of markets worldwide with current leading countries Germany and North America. Recent expansion has been achieved in Japan, Israel, India and additional European countries”.

The Directors would like to heartily thank their dedicated team of staff, their loyal customers and everyone who has contributed to the success of Minesoft since its inception in 1996, for their belief in the company and its values.

“IP information – meaning both Internet-based and Intellectual Property data, sum up our business.  To win such an accolade as the “Queen’s Award” for our success shows we are going in the right direction.  We would also like to thank RWS Group in the UK. They are our partner in producing PatBase, the searchable patent database we have very successfully co-developed since 2003.  I heard this morning they have been named also as a Queen’s Award winner for 2009.  This is good news indeed.”
