The Government has started a major consultation about its Renewable Energy Strategy to help increase our use of renewable energy in the UK. (Which is a key part of the Government’s strategy for tackling climate change). It will also reduce the country’s reliance on imported fuel and bring key business opportunities. The Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform is consulting on a range of potential measures to deliver our fair share of the EU target. You can take part in the consultation online at www.berr.gov.uk/renewableconsultation. The online consultation has been designed to make it easy to submit responses to the questions asked.
The consultation began on 26 June 2008 and will close on 26 September 2008.
