South London Business’ response to the 2009 Budget

South London Business’ chief executive, Peter Pledger, responds to the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s 2009 Budget Statement:
“We welcome Alistair Darling’s announcement of further investment in skills and new investment in support for business. However, we are disappointed that the Chancellor has not taken the opportunity to provide support for companies by helping alleviate their costs. In particular, we are disappointed there has been no reduction in Employers National Insuranceâ€.
